After the mechanic that I was using (who I was very happy with) moved far enough out of town to no longer be convenient, I was in despair of finding another mechanic of that quality. The first time I needed Ervine's was when I was replacing the battery in my Forester and apparently (despite checking twice) connected it backwards and fried a few things. It was a Sunday afternoon and after picking Ervine's because of the great reviews (and it also didn't hurt that they are about 1/2 mile from my office!) I called, expecting to leave a message for a callback. Imagine my surprise when a human being (the fantastic Jamie) answered the phone on the 2nd ring! I had my car towed over, Eric called me early Monday morning with the estimate, and I had the car back by lunchtime. That was over a year ago, and I've used Ervine's a number of times since then both for my Forester and my wife's Saturn, and I've been VERY pleased every time. Every time I call, Jamie makes me feel like I'm the most important customer they have, and as other reviews have mentioned, Ervine's does NOT try to tack on extra services that you don't need to inflate the bill.
