The Toyota Prius is one of Eric's favorite cars. They're safe, reliable and when they need to be taken apart they go back together flawlessly. Generation 2 Toyota Prius are at the right age for having the high voltage (HV) battery replaced. Typically an owner will get about 10 years out of the original battery. At Grand Rapids Hybrid, we replace HV batteries on a regular basis. This is NOT to say that the Prius has a failing HV battery system, but that the generation 2 batteries are at the right age to be replaced.
